Manages daily operations of the designated Club, and youth development initiatives, with primary concern for programme oversight and service delivery, supervision of staff, facility management,community relations,and membership administration. The Club Manager works from 10AM to 6PM, Monday to Friday.  The Club Manager is also responsible for the insurance that the BGCSA Mission is being realized and that Club Members are in a safe and supervised environment. 
  • Arelevant tertiary degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 3 year’s work experience in department management preferably in the non-profit or education field involving facilities, program and/or staff management.
  • Considerable knowledge of management, scheduling, programme implementation, facility maintenance, staff management and oversight.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate with strong Excel experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Program Staff, community members, local stakeholders, the Board of Directors, and BGCSA Management
  • A preference will be given to anyone with prior youth development experience
  • A valid driver’s license and own transport is required for this position, as is the ability to work in South Africa
  • Applicant must be fluent in English and at least one African language
  • Clubhouse management and oversight of Staff, programmes, and activities
  • Manage performance of assigned staff in achieving goals, providing technical assistance in programme design and implementation
  • Manage Clubhouse financial resources utilizing the annual budget to guide expenditures and control expenses accordingly
  • Manage administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and facilities
  • Manage and control membership applications and tracking system
  • Drafts schedule and ensures programmes and activities are scheduled and implemented according to plans
  • Develop collaborative relationships with other youth serving organizations, parents, families, schools and community organizations
  • Represent BGCSA at meetings and events with local community leaders, business leaders, government officials, and attend meetings and events when requested and as appropriate.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
Salary will be commensurate with experience, but competitive for the NGO Sector.  BGCSA provides risk coverage and matches employee contributions to a Provident Fund.
