Responsible for:
The External Sales Executive is an integral role within the Sales
Department of. To promote products and increase
annual turnover in line with mutually agreed sales targets.
To be involved with identifying new markets and business opportunities.
Sales Executives are responsible for increasing and developing sales in
their areas and maintaining their targets
Key Tasks:  Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
via meetings, telephone calls, and e-mails, quoting within ACT
system within 1-2hours, etc.
 Visiting potential customers to prospect for new business; acting as
a contact between the company and its existing and potential
 Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales, tenders,
 Gathering market and customer information; representing the
organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
 Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with
 Liaising with Internal Sales Manager to check on the progress of
existing orders; checking quantities of goods in stock.
 Follow up on sales leads supplied by the Management timeously.
 Reviewing own sales performance and ensuring that minimum
sales target is always met, aiming to meet or exceed the company
sales targets and ensure formal feedback in the Sales Reviews.
 Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and
 Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers
with quotations on the system within the prescribed procedural period;
feeding future buying trends back to Director.
 Create and maintain the  database of clients and leads and
updating visit reports, information on a daily basis.
 Develop your own personal marketing strategy
 Manage personal time effectively in order to ensure the
achievement of individual and company sales target/budget. 15
customers per week with full information loaded for each
 Understand all administrative procedures as specified by the
company policies and standards including marketing and
promotional initiatives.
 Ensure all documentation required by the company is completed
and handed in timeously and according to company procedures.
 Once closed sales are made and that all relevant procedures for
delivery of goods are in place and finalizing the full sales cycle for
the customer.
 Responsible for submitting editorials and attending exhibitions and
marketing/sales seminar/courses/training or groups.
 Act as relief for Internal Sales Manager and excess sales enquiries.
 Occasional training of new salespeople

Essential Requirements
 Process Control Instrumentation and Industrial Networking
Experience and/or knowledge
 MS Office & ACT – computer knowledge essential
 Speak English and Afrikaans
 Dress professional/smart
 Ability to grasp technical aspects
 Willingness to travel
 Self-motivated and proactive.
