Financial Manager

  1. Staff oversight
  • Allocate and balance workload of staff
  • Ensure staff meet all departmental deadlines
  • Co-ordinate and integrate processes between various departments
  • Deal with Staff HR related activity
  1. Accounting
  • Ensure accurate processing all transactions in the accounting system
  • Review, reconcile and adjust accounts to accurately reflect the business performance
  • Review, reconcile and submit statuary returns
  • Determine and process accruals
  • Administer the bank accounts
  • Administer the Trust accounts
  • Regulatory administration of legal entities
  1. Payroll
  • Ensure sound setup of payroll for staff and agents
  • Capture master file changes and additions
  • Review payroll for accuracy
  • Review leave and other balances on payroll
  • Submission of SARS and other statuary returns for payroll and staff
  • Reconciliation of payroll to bank accounts and ledger
  1. Financial Management
  • Produce management reports
  • Provide statistics and projections
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Determine cash flow projections
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Ensure sufficient financial controls are in place
  • Liaise with the auditors to ensure a successful audit
  • Submit Provisional and Income tax returns
  • Perform Provisional tax calculations
  • Liaise with Estate Agency Affairs Board re Fidelity Fund Certificates
  1. Tertiary qualification with accounting related subjects
  2. At least 8 years experience in accounting and completed articles
  3. At least 2 years in a financial management role
  4. Experience with Pastel Accounting package, including payroll
  5. Experience in dealing with staff
  6. Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities
  7. Computer literate with advanced MS Excel skills
  8. Experience in Trust accounting advantageous
