6     Responsibilities and objectives
 
  1. To provide value-adding solutions to customers by ….
 
  1. Effectively planning, implementing and completing customer site visits
  2. Designing & delivering effective sales presentations, informally and formally
  3. compilation, development & implementation of concise and effective Technical Reports for internal/external purposes in accordance with the prevailing standard
  4. investigation of KL products and their application to specific inquiries/applications
  5. adopting Total Cos of Ownership methodology
  6. interfacing with customer O&M strategies
  7. discussion and recommendation of factored products in support of lubricant sales
  8. liaison with KLM / GS, GATE, MA and/or KLx as necessary
  9. adoption and practice of value selling methodology
  10. optimising growth and profitability by pursuing additional opportunities on site
  11. designing and delivering customer lubrication presentations, seminars and training modules
  12.  preparing value case studies for company value adding solutions
  13. documenting customer advocacy e.g. signed off savings, testimonials
  14. developing mutually beneficial relationships with key OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers)
  15. ensure correct and appropriate health & safety and environmental protection at all times
  16. co-ordinating local major concern business with national & international colleagues
  17. acceptable activity and performance levels in accordance with prevailing target agreement process
  18. compilation of quotations & proposals plus activity designed to arrive at a successful conclusion
  19. use, utilise and maintain prevailing systems, processes, and procedures in accordance with prevailing requirements
  20. visit customer sites on a regular appointment basis to achieve objectives & maintain/improve company profile
  21. attend workshops / international duties as agreed and deemed appropriate by management and present/report findings.
  22.  ensure that all activities conform to requirements of all prevailing Company guidelines and policies. Ensure all matters are attended to in an effective and timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  23. ensure effective market intelligence feedback (inc. competitor activity) to enable the company to continuously reflect market needs and bring to the attention of management any areas or potential areas of customer or market dissatisfaction.
  24. present and promote the brand at all times by adopting high business ethics, presenting oneself and behaving in a way commensurate with the brand image and values and by maintaining all company equipment in good order
  25. handle and resolve customer’s disputes and complaints efficiently and effectively by adherence to standards and the full utilisation of resources.
 
Additional hours within reason may need to be worked, appropriate to the role, over and above normal hours, subject always to safety considerations. National & international travel involving staying away from home may be necessary on occasion,
