A Technical Representative position has become available in the Gauteng area
The main function is to execute business and sales strategies through collaboration with the account/area’s team in the implementation of key initiatives that support the on-going sustainability and profitability of the division.
 
Qualification:
A BSc Degree/Diploma in Chemistry/Engineering is a pre-requisite
 
Experience:
  • Related sales experience with a proven track record in sales of specialty chemicals in the paper industry could be an advantage.
  • Field application of specialty chemicals, specific expertise in paper is required. This experience should equip the incumbent to sell programs based on value, prevent attrition of existing business through technical skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in paper industry related water treatment and tissue production will be advantageous.
 
The incumbent will be responsible for the following inter alia:
  • Achieve Business Goals - Meet Sales and Profit Goals
  • Ensure a Safe Workplace -  Demonstrate safe working habits and care for the environment
  • Support ing the Global Strategy - Demonstrating effective support of global strategy, initiatives and projects.
  • Support of Internal Systems and Processes -  Demonstrating effective support of internal systems and procedures
  • Divisional Marketing Strategy -  Assist with the development of SA Paper Technologies Business Plan
  • Account Management Programs -  Implementation of Standard Account Procedures
  • Competitive Product line and Successful Technical Applications -  Technical Assistance for existing product applications; market input and running of trials on new products and technologies
  • Coach and mentor fellow associates on pulp applications.
