PURPOSE:
 
Build and focus on new fleet business sales, in order to build the Asset Finance portfolio. This would involve meeting sales budgets, relationship management and servicing a portfolio of corporate clients. Execute the Fleet & Asset finance sales opportunities within agreed segments to achieve sales targets, and maintain effective relationships. Will be responsible for processing new and review client credit facilities. The role requires a proactive approach in developing & maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 
  • Attain New Business targets aligned to fleet growth strategy, in chosen segment and the agreed customer value proposition.
  • Understand current market & business need for light, commercial vehicles & certain types of yellow metal (i.e. forklifts etc.)
  • Grows new customer base through networking, cold-calling and effective sales and services tactics.
  • Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists with selecting best suited to their needs
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Introduce, with presentations, to at least 10 large sized fleet owners (50+ cars on fleet) per month and register on the Fleet website – own initiation.
  • Establish a working relationship with McCarthy dealers in KZN to ensure Bidvest Bank has priority on all new fleet deals
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
  • Maximize bank profitability through cross selling specifically focusing on value adds and acquisitions.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
  • Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle required 
 QUALIFICATION 
  • Matric (Accounting and Mathematics)
  • BCom Degree – Financial qualification
  • FIAS Representative
  • 5-10 years in fleet & sales management
