Output/Core Tasks:
  1. Involved in Implementing security environments, upgrade software, load of patch and research of Best Practises for SOA security environment:
  • Websphere Application Server and MQ
  • Tivoli Monitoring software
  • Tivoli Security software (TIM/TAM)
  • HTTP and Security
  1. Documentation of findings and security work processes to stabilise the process for IT Architecture and IT Delivery. 
  2. A Solid understanding of Web base and application base security as implemented within the Company's environment.
  3. Apply the SOA Security governance to the environment and ensure it is implemented the way the SOA Architect intended it to be done. 
  4. Assistance to project managers, information and security architects in planning and scoping work on a detail level.
  5. Assist in Identify the impact of Architecture Risks  with respect to the SOA implementations
  6. Responsible for support of the Security Products and toolsets.  Daily support and integration of other new tasks to ensure the environment is available and stable.
 
Requirements
 
  1. Qualifications
  • Diploma in Information Technology or relevant post matric IT qualification
  • J2EE, Unix and or Linux certification would be preferable.
  • Application Security qualifications preferable
 
  1. Experience
  • ±3  year Infrastructure support (Unix/Linux/) experience,
  • Integration experience with security of 1 to 2 years
  • Understand and have worked with IBM products like Websphere and Tivoli
 
  1. Knowledge:
  • Must have practical knowledge of the implementation of Websphere Applications and Security Systems Software.
  • Working knowledge of layered architecture and understand the OO concept firmly.
  • Working knowledge of translating architecture solutions into workable applications within the scope of work.
  • Understand the concept of  presentation layer technologies that range from Browser to thick client
  • Working knowledge of server side technologies that range from the functional, data, monitoring and integration layer
  • Working knowledge of Open Source and IBM development tools (Eclipse, Subversion, Websphere, Rational)
  • The ability to deliver within a project context of timelines, cost and quality.
  • Working knowledge of designing against non functional requirements – be able to configure the application in a team and understand the impact of changes
  • Working knowledge of networks, hardware, operating systems (AIX), databases (DB2)
  • Working knowledge of system development techniques like UML.
