Regional Manager - Technical

A vacancy reporting to the Senior Manager exists in the Technical Services department which forms part of the Customer Service Division & will be based in the Cape Town regional office.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
 
  • Promote a positive customer experience by assisting and managing a team of FTMs who provide dealer support;
  • Support future product improvements by ensuring the coordination of daily, weekly and monthly FTM activities;
  • Oversee the support of Fix It Right activities and mentor/coach where necessary;
  • Attend dealer council meetings;
  • Support FTMs & dealers with special service campaigns/recalls to achieve set company targets;
  • Where necessary, assist CCC (Customer Call Centre) with customer complaint resolution;
  • Scheduled/ad hoc dealer visits as necessary;
  • Maintain job related administration functions and records;
  • Coordinate regional Nuts & Bolts technical forums;
  • Support Monitor Dealer visits by the FTM team;
  • Skills development & empowerment of the FTM team to ensure sustainability.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
  • NQF 6 (360 credits) or Qualified Motor Technician + N6
  • Working experience as a qualified automotive technician;
  • Management or leadership experience would be an advantage;
  • Relevant experience in the technical and retail environment of the motor industry would be an advantage;
  • Fully computer literate including MS Office & Outlook;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ Technical experience on Lexus and Toyota models would be an advantage;
  • Will be required to travel.

Monthly Remuneration and Benefits:
 
Basic Salary       R35 000 (negotiable)
Provident Fund   @ 9.4 % of basic salary
Medical Aid        @ 50% up to R5600
Car Allowance    @ R7 739
Fuel Card          @ R3 900
