Syspro Administrator / DBA

The successful incumbent will be responsible for development, maintenance and reporting on Syspro and providing database administration on MS SQL.
  1.     Effective Development and Reporting in Syspro
    •             Create and maintain user profiles, user or role based menus and overall access to Syspro.
    •             Maintain the integrity of the master file and transactional data on the Syspro system.
    •             Provide 1st line user support for the end users in the day to day Syspro operational queries.
    •             Create and maintain customized reports using MS SQL and Syspro Reporting Services.
    •             Assist all departments with the analysis of the system information (extracts & reports).
    •             Responsible for month end processes and any day end processes.
    •             Keep accurate records of queries / faults logged and the appropriate solutions.
 
  1.     Effective Relationship Management
    •             Consult with external consultants or internal resources for assistance where required. 
    •             Manage external consultant’s time and activities on projects outsourced to them.
 
  1.     Effective Data Base Administration in MS SQL:
    •             Building data bases
    •             Creating data base objects like tables, stored procedures, views, functions, etc.
    •             Re-indexing tables.
    •             Performance tuning.

Education and Experience:
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Information Technology.
  • Min. 3-5 years recent experience in working with the Syspro ERP system.
  • Syspro Certification preferred.
  • Good knowledge of MS SQL and related databases.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Syspro table structure.
  • Financial background & business understanding beneficial.
  • POS knowledge beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the Qlikview BI beneficial
