Marketing Manager's Assistant

Bellville, Cape Town, Western Cape
  • Manage brand identity.
  • Ensure standards and brand norms are correctly applied.
  • Support administrative related matters as directed by the NSMM.
  • Effective management of Marketing Budget and marketing stock.
  • Manage all relevant marketing activities.
  • Producing a wide range of marketing collateral.
  • Develops relationships with key media, develop creative ideas for media outreach and planning.
  • Manages vendors including graphic designers, photographers, PR resources.
  • Manage updating of client's website.
  • Create online communications including newsletters.
  • Analyse and report the success / effectiveness of targeted advertising campaigns, special events / promotions.
  • Work with outside agency to develop and execute newspaper / media advertisements.
  • Prepare and collate department presentations for SNMM and Sales team.
  • Arrange all Sales and MD travelling as per the travel policy.
  • Monitoring and recording of all faxed documentation for the Sales Department.
  • Effectively manage the monthly Sales km reports for HR purposes.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.
  • Undergraduate degree required (preference for Marketing, Journalism or related field)
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Sales / Marketing and Communications.
  • High level PC skills (Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Photoshop, Graphic / Web design).
  • Bilingual with good written skills.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work and operate in a multi-functional operation.
  • Thorough and methodical approach with good attention to detail.
  • Highly driven to achieve objectives and deadlines.
  • Creative:  flair for devising creative and innovative marketing and PR ideas.
  • Tenacious and able to work under extreme pressure.
  • Willing to work after hours and week-ends when the need arises.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
  • Team player.
  • High personal INTEGRITY, trustworthiness and reliability
