A professional qualification in Engineering (mechanical, industrial)
A minimum of 3 years working experience within the operations department in the petroleum industry and LPG knowledge is not a prerequisite.
A strong knowledge and understanding of vaporisers, pressure vessels and pumps.
An ability to understand and carry out risk assessments related to the LPG industry
A good knowledge of all relevant legislation that impacts on the engineering, operations, project and change management as well as HSEQ functions, e.g. OHS-Act; MHI Regulations; and all SANS Regulations impacting on the LPG industry and construction industry.

A high level of verbal and email-based communication skills

Strong Project Management and Evaluation skills.
Proficiency in MS Projects, Excel, Word & SolidWorks.
An understanding of and ability to prioritise Customer Service Excellence
A driver’s license. (B, EB or similar).

The ability and flexibility to travel on behalf of the company
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Manage capital projects, including drafting of project timelines, key deliverables, milestones, critical paths, etc.
Manage the change management related to capital projects.
Ensure that projects are completed to the desired quality and within the required time frames and budget
Drive the implementation of Group engineering, technical and health & safety strategies to align the depots and client sites with industry best practices.
Be proactive in moving projects forward to completion.
Drive cost effectiveness and efficiencies of projects through maintaining world class documentation, filing and recording of all projects, processes and changes delegated to you.
